The World Ultra Cycling Association is an international nonprofit organization that is dedicated to promoting the sport of ultra cycling while also maintaining global rankings of ultra racers. At the same time, WUCA, as it's abbreviated, sanctions events and world record attempts from 100km in distance and up, including cross state records and 6-12-24 hour records. WUCA is also the official ultra cycling source for the guinness book of world records.

On today's episode, we'll be chatting with WUCA's current president to learn more about the organization, its past, present and future plans, and we'll also discuss his upcoming 100 km outdoor track world record attempt.

Let's roll! 🚲💨

Episode Transcript

I've been an ultra-endurance athlete since 2011. Since then I've bicycled 3,000 miles across the USA to fight human trafficking, participated in the Race Across America (RAAM), ridden twice non-stop from San Jose to Los Angeles (450 miles) and once out-and-back (900 miles), and completed over 50 double centuries, earning me the title of youngest ultra cyclist ever to be inducted into the California Triple Crown Hall of Fame.
